A woman was killed in a rollover crash north of Worland Thursday evening.

Donna Rollins, 38, of Butte, Mont., died a few minutes before 6 p.m. June 23 near mile post 167 on U.S. Highway 20, roughly two miles north of Worland.

According to a news release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Rollins was a passenger in a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer driven by 61-year-old Elizabeth Rollins of Deer Lodge, Mont.

The Chevy was southbound on US 20 when the vehicle traveled onto the shoulder and was overcorrected, causing it to trip and roll multiple times. Donna Rollins died at the scene despite wearing her seat belt.

Elizabeth Rollins, along with Worland residents 41-year-old Dale Rollins and 56-year-old Molly Hixon, were all wearing their seat belts and were taken by ambulance to Washakie Medical Center in Worland.

A four-year-old child in the Chevy was properly restrained in a child seat and was also taken to Washakie Medical Center. Their conditions were unknown at the time of the Patrol's news release Monday morning.

Driver fatigue and a possible medical condition before the crash are being examined as part of the ongoing investigation. No charges had been filed as of Monday morning.

Rollins was the 38th person killed on Wyoming highways in 2016. The same period in 2015 saw 64 highway deaths statewide.
