Woman Accused of Using Meth Attacks Father

According to court documents, a woman accused of being high on meth attacked her father after he failed to help her mother, who was having a seizure. Acacia Nyberg is charged with one count aggravated assault in the March 7 attack.

According to the arrest affidavit, the father, Chad Hyatt, claims Nyberg's methamphetamine usage was the catalyst for the attack. Hyatt also stated that Nyberg threw a knife that struck him as he was existing the residence.

Nyberg stated that she pushed her father down the hallway to the front of the house, and became angrier when he accused her of grabbing a knife. Nyberg admitted that she threw a knife at him as he exited the house.

Nyberg has a $10,000 bond and preliminary court date of March 14.
