The Wyoming Arts Council is currently accepting applications for grants for non-profit organizations and individual artists. The grants are for projects happening between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015.

Anytime Grants can be applied for throughout the year until funding runs out. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is recommended that anyone wanting this grant funding apply as soon as possible.

Non-profit organizations such as schools, libraries, governmental entities and arts organizations can apply for Anytime Grants in the following categories: Artists Across Wyoming, Arts Projects, and Capacity Building.

For individual artists, an Individual Artist Professional Development category is available. This is grant funding for artists who are wanting to take the next step in their career. Previous applicants have used the funds for things like travelling overseas to install an art exhibition, recording a music CD at a professional studio, showing a film at a film festival, attending an artist residency program and working with an out-of-state mentor. Many requests for this funding are for travel costs, and a number of people have used the grant money to hire a contractor to make a professional website.

Every grant has its own set of guidelines and deadlines. To find more information visit the WAC website. You can also call the WAC at 307-777-7742.
