The Pathfinder Back Country Horsemen will be hosting a demonstration series titled "Get Ready, Get Set, Go Back Country!" and it's free to attend.

The first event will be held on Saturday, May 16 at 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds, in conjunction with the Casper High School Rodeo.

The idea of Back Country Horsemen of America was originated by concerned horse users in Montana after the passage of The Wilderness Act in 1964. The first club was formed there in 1973. Following its founding, the BCHA movement spread and in 1979 a number of Montana and Idaho clubs formed the Back Country Horsemen of America. Currently there are approximately 150 local chapters with a membership of over 14,000 nationwide.

Since 1996, the Wyoming Back Country Horsemen of America have contributed over $588,820 in volunteer labor on trails, at trailheads, and in educational roles.
