For the second time this week, the Wyoming Cowboys have added to this year's recruiting class. Head coach Larry Shyatt announced today the final piece is Alexander Aka Gorski of Lund, Sweden. The 6-5, 210-pound shooting guard will have four years of eligibility with the Pokes.

In a release from the University of Wyoming, coach Shyatt said, "The addition of Alex provides us with a well-coached deep shooter that we continue to need as our program moves forward in the Mountain West. We were impressed with Alex’s maturity on the court and basketball intellect, which he developed during his experience with the Swedish national team and the great success Sunrise Christian has had.”

Aka Gorski spent the 2013-14 season on the prep team at Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas. From the point, he averaged more than 14 points, four assists and four rebounds per game. He shot 44 percent from beyond the arc. Aka Gorski and the Buffaloes tallied a 22-7 record against junior colleges and other prep schools and ended the season on a 15-game winning streak.

Sunrise Christian Academy, which includes high school varsity and junior varsity teams, has had a total of seven other students sign National Letters of Intent with NCAA Division I programs this year, including Michigan State, Arizona, Wichita State, Ole Miss and Colorado State.

A native of Sweden, Gorski was born and raised in Lund and played for the Uppsala club team. He also played in more than 45 games for the Swedish national team at several levels. He also visited St. Joseph’s and Loyola Marymount on recruiting trips.
