All 11 players scored, as the Wyoming Cowgirls routed Chadron State 77-25 in exhibition action Friday night in Laramie.

After a slow start, the Cowgirls went on a 9-0 run at the end of the first quarter and rolled in the blowout. UW didn’t allow the Eagles to score double figures in any quarter.

Marta Gomez led Wyoming with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Marleah Campbell added 12 points off the bench. Six other Cowgirls scored six or more points. Wyoming shot 52 percent from the field and went 10-29 from deep. UW also had 24 assists on their 31 field goals.

Chadron State was led by Jessica Lovitt off the bench with seven points. The Eagles shot 16 percent from the field.

After a 14-3 lead at the end of the opening quarter, the Cowgirls out-scored Chadron State 22-8 in the second for a 36-11 lead at half. UW began the second half on a 15-0 run. Their biggest lead was 53 points with just over two minutes left.

Wyoming officially opens their 2017-18 season next Saturday, Nov. 11 versus Adams State College. Tip-off is at 2 p.m. in Laramie.
