What a great fishing year it has been already to this point and it's only getting better as we head into the month of May!

My friends have told me an old saying 'When the Lilacs are in bloom, the Walleye are biting...', well I might be forced to admit that there might be something to that saying, no matter what lake you're fishing!

This weekend, I got to get out a couple of times and had some major success.  Not only in numbers but in eating sized walleye as well.

Most major walleye lakes in our area are now starting to turn on.

I recommend getting to the lake early and bring along your favorite jigging pole and get ready.  Once you've located the fish, hang in there until your limit has been reached!!

Just a quick reminder that if you go fishing, be sure to know the regulations for the waters you are on before you go.  There have been some changes this year in bait restrictions and limits on several favorite waters in Wyoming.

Here's wishing you tight lines this fishing season!  I will be sure to let you know how I do, as I plan to get out and hit several new lakes this summer.
