University of Wyoming gunslinger Josh Allen has an unlikley new workout partner and mentor, former Heisman Trophy winner and Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel.

Manziel and Allen reportedly met last week to train and discuss the trials of media hype and expectations.

According to Allen, who was orginally contacted by Manziel on Twitter, the controversial QB had some important advice for the up-and-coming prospect, who is projected to be an early first round pick in next year's NFL Draft.

"Johnny has been very informative for me," told CBS Sports. "Not just on the field but off the field, staying out of the spotlight, doing the right things."

Manziel was released by the Browns last year after being arrested on domestic violence charges and entering rehab for drug and alcohol dependency. . "Johnny Football" is hoping to make an NFL comeback when his legal issues are resolved.
