Come celebrate our great state Wednesday, July 10th.

The Wyoming Territorial Prison is hosting a Wyoming Statehood Day party again this year, and for the first 400 people there's free lunch and birthday cake!

Activities include a shooting gallery, ring toss game, balloon animals, BINGO, and a stick horse rodeo.  The Wyoming National Guard and City of Laramie Fire Department will also have vehicles on display.

The celebration runs from 11 am to 2 pm.

The prison was constructed in 1872 and was known as a Territorial Prison until 1890 when Wyoming became a state.  It then became Wyoming State Penitentiary.  The building is most famous for housing outlaws like Butch Cassidy, Clark Pelton, Elijah Canary, and Dan Parker.
