The 15th Annual Open House and Car Show at WyoTech takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event takes place at the WyoTech Street Rod Shop located at 1889 Venture Drive in Laramie.

The car show is completely free both for those showing their vehicles and for those who want to view them.

Kyle Morris, Director of Student Services at WyoTech, says the show usually gets around 150 entries each year.

“We’ve got everything from finished instructor vehicles to student projects to people that bring their vehicles from different places around the region,” says Morris.

The Wyoming National Street Rod Association has this event on their schedule as well, so many people will be viewing the vehicles while visiting a variety of shows.

The annual car show is a student driven event planned by the Student Activity Council. The leadership group plans all of the fundraisers, concessions, judging, and more. They even custom make all the trophies for the awards.

This year’s awards will feature categories like people’s choice, instructor’s choice, street rod, muscle cars, trucks, motorcycles, and interior.

Anyone wanting to register may do so on the day of the event starting at 8 a.m. or may contact Kyle Morris at 307-755-2129 or kyle.morris@zenith.org.
