Question:

Why is there only t-ball and swimming for young kids to do during the summer? Young kids meaning kids ages 3-6 years old.

Answer:

"The city partners with a number of different groups offering activities to young children. Listed in the program guide are contacts for the Laramie Soccer Association and Wyoming School of Gymnastics and the Albany County Public Library is offering a summer Stories in the Park program. The city also offers a bicycle safety class for kids 5 and 6 years old, the Fishing Derby, and we have roller skating and the fun factory at the Ice and Events Center. The summer program guide can be found at this link. Also available are winter activities with the Laramie Amateur Hockey Club and in the Fall/Winter/Spring, the city offers youth basketball and soccer

If there are specific requests for activities, we could potentially connect individuals with the groups that might serve their needs. For more information, please call Parks and Recreation at 307-721-5269."

Ask the City Of Laramie is your chance to send the city that burning question that you have always wondered about such as: “Why are there so many potholes on Grand Avenue?” or “Why did my water usage rates go through the roof?”

Please note that the City of Laramie will answer as many questions as possible at their discretion.
