One of Netflix’s Biggest Surprise Hits Is Getting a Sequel
The steamy follow-up to the Polish erotic drama 365 Days is almost here. Directed by Barbara Białowąs and Tomasz Mandes, 365 Days: This Day brings together Don Massimo Torricelli (Michele Morrone) and Laura Biel (Anna-Maria Sieklucka) for another sizzling love affair.
365 Days debuted on Netflix in June of 2020, four months after the film was released in Poland. It quickly became one of the most-watched titles on the platform in multiple countries, and had one of the longest periods as Netflix’s most-watched item in the United States. Maybe it was the newfound stress of a global pandemic, but audiences couldn't take their eyes off of the movie’s seductive action.
Despite the impressive streaming numbers, 365 Days failed to receive approval from critics, with several reviewers pointing out the abundance of violent sex scenes and the glorification of the Mafia. In short, 365 Days became the Polish 50 Shades of Grey — not a critical darling, but a movie that got people’s attention.

“Laura and Massimo are back and hotter than ever. But the reunited couple’s new beginning is complicated by Massimo’s family ties and a mysterious man who enters Laura’s life to win her heart and trust, at any cost,” reads the official plot synopsis from Netflix.
This is the first of two sequels we have to look forward to in the 365 Days franchise. While the first movie arrived on Netflix as a finished product, both 365 Days: This Day and its subsequent film are being produced by the studio from the ground up. That means some of the more controversial sexual encounters might be toned down just a bit.
You can stream 365 Days: This Day on Netflix beginning April 27.
