Blake Shelton – Goin’ Cruising
It's the first ever. The Blake Shelton and Friends Cruise aboard the Norwegion Jewel is still quite a ways away, but the buzz is already starting to pick up. And with good reason. Blake is inviting all his friends and fans to join him and other country artists in October of 2012 on a sail around the islands of the South Atlantic.
The week-long cruise leaves from Miami on Sunday, October 14th, 2012. The website for the cruise is extolling the cruise as featuring intimate concerts, unplugged performances and more.
Blake will perform two live concerts in the Stardust Theater on-board. There are also live music shows every night at various venues around the ship. Blake has invited Trace Adkins, Easton Corbin and his old buddy Neal McCoy to join in the fun. Each one will be giving live performances during the cruise.
Other activities that country fans should find especially enjoyble include:
Song writer workshops;
A custom version of “The Voice” with a karaoke contest judged by the pros;
Surprise unplugged performances and jam sessions;
Question and answer sessions;
Opportunities to get up close and personal with musical guests;
Late night dance parties with radio station deejays.
So, how much is this little extravaganza going to cost? Packages range from just over $1,000 to close to $4,000 depending on accommodation choices, and include meals and a ton of entertainment, like swimming pools, hot-tubs and transportation to the different ports. Shelton’s Norwegian Jewel cruise will make stops in Miami, San Juan, Tortola, St. Thomas and Nassau.
I was curious to know if Mrs. Shelton would be aboard, but, unfortunately, Miranda's website doesn't extend that far into the future so, who knows? It would be a perfect setting for some duets with her husband, though.
As the cruise draws near, there may be more additions; either artists or activities. Stay Tuned.
