Blake Shelton – Loses Father After Long Battle with Ill-Health

Sad news out of Oklahoma.  Blake Shelton's father, Dick Shelton, has passed away after a year of declining health.

The family lost Dick Tuesday night.  Obviously, Blake's concert schedule will be alatered.

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Blake Shelton's father, Dick Shelton.  Mr. Shelton, who was in declining health this past year, was surrounded by loved ones in Oklahoma upon his passing this evening."

The site goes on to quote Blake:

I appreciate your understanding during this difficult time and thank you for all your prayers. Your support means the world to me. I love you guys.

The public first learned of the Elder Shelton's health issues when Blake mentioned them during the CMA's.  Several of the scheduled appearances were in the mountain region, including Rapid City, S.D.  Bismarck, N.D. Billings, Mont. and Bozeman, Mont. 

Those concerts have been re-scheduled thusly: 

 Bismarck - March 20

Rapid City - March 21

Bozeman - March 22

Billings - March 23.

The "Well Lit & Amplified Tour 2012" will continue as schedule next week in Columbus, Ga. on Jan. 26.
