Brett Eldredge Is the King of Christmas in Holiday Tunes Emoji Game [Watch]
It's no secret Brett Eldredge loves holiday music—after all, he recently released a new deluxe version of his 2016 Christmas album, Glow. However, Eldredge was no match for his fellow CMA Country Christmas performers while playing a game of Holiday Tunes Emoji-Style.
In a three-minute video shot ahead of the taping of CMA Country Christmas, several country stars were tasked with deciphering emojis which revealed a classic holiday song. Some were easier than others.
Dustin Lynch appears first in the video and immediately guesses "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" when given three emojis of snow clouds and three emojis of snowflakes. It seems every singer answered correct with this famous tune, but the game quickly got harder.
"O Holy Night" and "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" were answered instantly by Amy Grant and Old Dominion, but Brett Young struggled. "Dance Around the Christmas Tree?" he asked before realizing his error. "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree!"
Martina McBride and Dan + Shay also took part in the game and proved strong contenders coming in second and third place, respectively.
It was Eldredge who was crowned winner as he guessed correctly on the more challenging emoji questions like "Do You Hear What I Hear" and "I Saw Mama Kissing Santa Claus."
Watch above as each country artist plays the emoji game, as well as guesses what the mysterious ornament is in the stocking.
CMA Country Christmas airs Dec. 10 at 8PM/ET on ABC. Reba McEntire hosts the event, which includes performances by Tony Bennett, Dan + Shay, Eldredge, Grant, Diana Krall, Lynch, McBride, Old Dominion, Brad Paisley, Michael W. Smith, Lindsey Stirling, the Isaacs and Young.
