As part of National Make a Difference Day this Saturday, Sierra Trading Post is collecting cold weather gear at its Cheyenne retail store this week.

Sara Cagle, Strategic Partnership Specialist for Sierra Trading Post, says the donations will be provided to the COMEA Shelter, a non-profit serving the homeless population.

"Heading into the colder weather months, now is the time to assist these community organizations in stocking up their supply before the need is too great to accommodate," said Cagle.

Cagle says they're seeking items such as sleeping bags, tents, tarps, thermal base layers, coats, snow pants, winter boots and bedding.

To encourage participation, Sierra Trading Post is giving away one free promotional item to the first five people who donate in-store each day.
