As Easter Sunday (April 17th) is approaching, between now and then, there are plenty of festivities in and around Cheyenne to celebrate the holiday. Just about all of those celebrations consist of activities that the whole family can partake in.
Annual Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 16th, the Annual Egg Hunt will be happening on the front lawns of the Historic Governors' Mansion. The event is an Easter Egg Hunt for kids ages 2 to 4 as parents are encouraged to bring their kids out for the free event. The 'hunt' will start at 9 a.m. that morning and the eggs will be filled with candy and other surprises for the kids. Participants are also encouraged to dress for the weather and bring their own Easter baskets to collect the eggs in. For more info, please contact Alexis Pratt at 307-777-7878.
Eggstravaganza
The Laramie County Library will host some 'egg-citing' workshops for all ages on April 16th. Some of the events taking place will be the K-2 Edible Egg Dyeing, Grades 3-6 Natural Dyes, and the Egg Drop (for all ages). The events kick off at 10 a.m. and go until 2 p.m. Some of the attendance is limited for the events and you can sign up today.
