Celebrate National Jelly Bean Day With This Colorful Cocktail
Believe it or not, there is, in fact, a National Jelly Bean Day, and it takes place annually on April 22. And this year, it happens to land on a Monday — heck, who doesn’t need a handful of jelly beans and a little lot of alcohol at the beginning of the week?
Who we are kidding? This Jelly Bean Martini recipe just might have us celebrating throughout the year. Borrowed from our friends at AllRecipes.com, this cocktail will have you smiling even before you take a sip. Utilizing ingredients such as orange liqueur, cream-flavored vodka and of course an array of jelly beans, this cocktail is the little dose of happiness you just might need as you kick off your week.

Jelly Bean Martini Recipe:
Ingredients
1/4 cup red and white jelly beans
3 fluid ounces whipped cream-flavored vodka
ice
2 fluid ounces orange liqueur
1/2 fluid ounce white creme de cacao
2 white jelly beans
2 red jelly beans
2 slices lemon
Directions:
Place 1/4 cup jelly beans in a small bowl and pour vodka over the top. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled, at least 30 minutes.
Fill a shaker with ice. Shake bowl with chilled jelly beans and vodka, pour mixture through a strainer into shaker, and discard jelly beans. Pour orange liqueur and creme de cacao into shaker and stir. Strain vodka mixture into 2 chilled martini glasses. Drop 1 white jelly bean and 1 red jelly bean into the bottom of each glass and place 1 lemon slice on each rim.
