Evan Paul hosts Taste of Country Nights, On Demand, a weekly country music interview podcast that focuses on the music. Follow wherever podcasts are found, like Apple Podcasts and Spotify and leave a rating and review. This show is part of the Townsquare Media On Demand network.

Elle King has dabbled in country music for several years now, and her latest collaboration with Miranda Lambert, "Drunk And I Don't Wanna Go Home," just hit No. 1. She took some time from her busy schedule to sit down and have a chat with me, and we learned some fun things about this up-and-coming country superstar.

We first talked about her Grammy experience and why she felt bad for everyone sitting behind her — because her red hat was so dang huge that they probably couldn't see over it! Chris Stapleton was the big country winner at the Grammys, and she's going on tour with him this summer. Listen below as Elle reveals why she won't even think about pranking him on the road.

Elle King has had a No. 1 song in four different formats of music. I asked her if she could tell the difference in her fans at the shows and she had a very funny way of going through all the different types of fans she sees at her shows. She also revealed that she had no idea if radio stations or anyone was playing her song.

"I've barely heard it, so the fact it's where it's at is amazing," she shares.

The reason for this is rooted partially in fear. Can any new moms relate?

Bonus: I also had a nice long conversation with Cole Swindell about his new album that just dropped, Stereotype. Cole was telling me about his new love, his girlfriend. He said not many people have asked him about it yet, so when I did, he kind of lit up. He said from now on, anytime you hear a love song that he wrote, it's about her.

Take a listen to Taste of Country Nights, On Demand, Episode 31 with Elle King and Cole Swindell.
