It's hard to believe, but the last time Faith Hill put out an album...was 2005 with "Fireflies".  Even she is surprised that so much time has passed.

But, of course,  raising three daughters has a tendency to fill up a mom's days.

"I didn't even realize it had been that long, to be honest with you, until someone told me that," Faith tells CMT. "And I even argued with them! At the time it was five years, and I said, 'It's not been five years since I had a record!' Yeah, it has been! [laughs] But that's OK. I want it to be really good and represent me. I want it to be real."

Raising her three daughters, Gracie, Maggie and Audrey with her husband, Tim McGraw has taken precedence over her career.  That doesn't mean she hasn't thought about all the great music she's brought to the world in the past.  In fact, Faith readily admits she's missed singing.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, she mentions that she works on records when she can, and that she's still interested in challenging herself as a performer.

There's no word yet on a release date for Faith's new album. But you can bet Faith has millions of fans who can't wait to hear what she's added to her music in six long years.
