Former Cheyenne Mayoral Candidate Endorsing Surdam
Cheyenne councilman and former mayoral candidate Richard Johnson has ended his write-in campaign for mayor and is endorsing Amy Surdam for the seat.
"If Amy Surdam is mayor, the energy and love I have for my community will be present in her charge," said Johnson.
Johnson and Surdam have worked on several projects together in the last few years, including a concert series and Re-Ride Cheyenne, a free bike share program.
"I have witnessed a person with as much drive as me to get results," said Johnson. "I am only one vote and I am voting for Amy Surdam."
Surdam will square off against Marian Orr on November 8. The winner will be Cheyenne's first woman mayor.
