Did You See The Rare Red Rainbow in Wyoming? [PHOTOS]
As thunderstorms rolled into Casper on Wednesday night, anyone outside might have caught a glimpse of something very rare. As the storm beginning and the rain and wind began a Red Rainbow appeared over the city.
The storm brought lots of wind, a little lightning and this sight!
I've seen many rainbows in my days, even a few double rainbows, but never had I seen one that was mostly red. I thought I was crazy at first, or that it was some sort of glow off the Verizon story in the distance. But after grabbing my camera to snap a couple of pictures, I took a peak on Facebook and saw that others had seen this awesome pillar of red hues as well.
From my vantage point I couldn't see the beautiful red in the sunset off the the west and I had thought that the sun was lost behind the storm clouds. But a coworker captured this photo before the sun vanished over the horizon.
Just more natural beauty that never ceases to amaze me here in Wyoming!
It all happened as this beautiful sunset was dipping under the storm clouds and dropped beyond the horizon. Enjoy!!
