No, noone is changing formats.  Kenny is NOT going to cover any Metallica cuts.  We're talking platinum and gold here.

Kenny Chesney's incomparably popular album Hemmingway's Whiskey has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for shipping in excess of 1 million copies.  Pretty impresive, yeah?  Bt not nearly as impressive as the fact that this is his 10th platinum album.  Tenth.

And speaking of heavy metal, how about some gold for Kenny and the lovely Grace Potter?  The duet "You and Tequila" has been cerfified gold for digital downloads exceeding 500,000.  That makes a grand total of 4 singles that have been successful.  The others, of course were "The Boys of Fall, "Somewhere with You" and "Live a Little"

Others getting good news include Scotty McCreery for "I Love You This Big".  Look for Scotty's full album to be released on October 4th.

Luke Bryan and Darius Rucker had a good month last month as well.  Rucker's "Alright"  and Luke's "Country Girl" have each been certified platinum by the RIAA.

Great news for some great country talent.
