Three media outlets; The Casper Star- Tribune, The Wyoming Tribune Eagle, and  The Associated Press; have filed a lawsuit against the University of Wyoming in regards to the school's search for a new University President.

Thus far, the University trustees have kept silent on who is a potential candidate to succeed current President Tom Buchanan, who plans to step down next year.  Officials have defended the idea of keeping prospects secret, saying that secrecy widens the pool of possible applicants.  On the other hand, the media outlets filing suit say that the public should have the right to know who is up for the job.
