Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen is Still a Finalist for NFL MVP

The Buffalo Bills season is over, as fans now shift attention to free agency and the 2023 NFL Draft.

It was a bitter end to a 13-3 regular season, ending in a 27-10 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Divisional round this past Sunday.

The Bills enter then off-season with question marks on offense and defense. Can they re-sign safety Jordan Poyer, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and running back Devin Singletary to new contracts? There's a chance all three are gone and they also need to upgrade the offense: wide receiver and offensive line.

The Bills still had the second-most yards per game in the regular season and it was without a doubt because of quarterback Josh Allen.

Despite a mid-season lull and an elbow injury, Allen led the Bills to 13 wins and another AFC East division title. His value is unquestioned.

The voters agreed. Allen is once again a finalist for league MVP.

The other finalists are Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

Mahomes is the odds-favorite to win the NFL MVP award but outside of Mahomes, no player means more to their team's overall success than Allen.

The Bills absolutely need to get better at wide receiver and offensive line. They have to protect and aid their quarterback. The final four teams have an array of weapons and long-time play callers. The Bills really only have one elite wide receiver (Stefon Diggs) and a first-time play caller (Ken Dorsey).
