It’s a Retro Christmas at Wyoming’s Historic Governor’s Mansion!
If you've never been to the Wyoming Historic Governor's Mansion in Cheyenne, there's no better time to visit than during the holidays. Every year, the Historic Governor's Mansion pulls out all the stops for the holidays. Decorations from the last century of Christmas celebrations come out of storage to bedeck the mansion in holiday cheer for the annual "Tinsel Through Time" event.
I've been attending Tinsel Through Time with my family since I was still in elementary school. It never grows old seeing the gorgeous ornaments and the mansion lit up in technicolored Christmas lights.
The Historic Governor's Mansion Presents 'Tinsel Through Time'
This year's Tinsel Through Time kicks off the Saturday after Thanksgiving (November 26.) Each year has a new theme - this year's theme is "Melodies of Christmas."
You can visit the Historic Governor's Mansion for Tinsel Through Time from November 26 through December 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. But, the best time to visit the display is the Opening Reception on November 26. Not only will you see the decorations in all their splendor, but you'll also get to nibble on some delicious snacks while enjoying live music. It's the perfect way to spend the afternoon before heading over to the Christmas Parade later that evening!
