The Lobos, led by quarterback Devon Dampier and running back Eli Sanders, combined for 412 rushing yards and five scores. The latter broke off a 75-yard touchdown late in the first half. Dampier, a sophomore, became the first UNM signal caller to rush and throw for at least 100 yards in three games during a season.

His 85-yard sprint to the end zone with 1:10 remaining in the third is also a school record.

It was a Damper interception, though, that sparked the fourth-quarter comeback for the visitors. Wrook Brown turned that into immediate points. Wyoming's nickelback snagged that errant throw at the 29 and made a house call.

The Cowboys, finally, made the fewest mistakes.

Quarterback Kaden Anderson completed 20-of-29 throws for 342 yards and three touchdowns in his first-career start. His favorite target in Albuquerque was junior Jaylen Sargent, who hauled in six passes for 186 yards and a score. John Michael Gyllenborg and Justin Stevenson also caught scoring strikes from Anderson.

Wyoming snapped a three-game losing streak and claimed its second win of this mostly forgettable season.
