Show Us Your Picks: Week 10
LARAMIE -- Adam Waddell averaged nearly 10 points a game during the 2011-12 season.
The big man from Cody added more than three rebounds per contest and shot better than 50% from the field for the Cowboy basketball team.
He probably knows more about football, though, than hoops.
Just look at that record below. If it wasn't for Waddell's blind loyalty to his school -- and the Pokes settling for three red-zone field goals last Saturday night against Utah State -- he would've gone undefeated in last week's pick 'em's.
It was a rough weekend for Waddell in that regard. His NFL team -- the Chicago Bears -- also gave up a last-second Hail Mary in a road loss at Washington. Ouch.
Sorry, Adam. Hope this was a nice consolation prize.
Here are last week's standings:
Adam Waddell: 11-1
Doug: 10-2
Josh Davis: 9-3
Jen: 8-4
DJ: 8-4
Jared: 7-5
Mat: 7-5
Cody: 6-6
Overall standings:
DJ: 74-34
Jen: 74-34
Jared: 71-37
Doug: 71-37
Cody: 67-41
Mat: 65-43
This week we are excited to welcome Wyoming's head wrestling coach Mark Branch and three-time All-American and two-time runner-up Reese Andy to the mix. Andy, a Montana product, was inducted into the UW Athletics Hall of Fame in 2004. He went on to fight in the UFC. Branch was a pretty good collegiate grappler, too, claiming two national titles at Oklahoma State back in 1994 and '97. The Cowboys will kickoff the 2024-25 campaign tonight in Cheyenne against Campbell. The "Dual at the Daddy" will be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass. The action begins at 6 p.m.
