
Wyoming Closes NCAA West First Round in the Women’s Steeplechase
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Senior Abigail Whitman wrapped her collegiate career Saturday in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on the final day of the NCAA West First Round at E.B. Cushing Stadium in College Station, Texas.

Whitman finished in 16th in heat two, crossing the line at 11:29.05. Overall, she placed 47th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase quarterfinal.

Wyoming will be represented by three Pokes, senior Daniel Reynolds and juniors Ryker Holtzen and Jacob White, at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, June 11-14, in Eugene, Ore. Reynolds will compete in the hammer throw and shot put final on Wednesday, June 11, Holtzen will race in the 3,000-meter steeplechase semifinal on Wednesday, June 11, with the final on Friday, June 13, and White takes on the 5,000-meter final on Friday, June 13.
