Zoey Blackwell | 5-8 | Guard | Caldwell, Idaho | Middleton HS
Blackwell, who was named both the Player of the Year and the Defensive Player of the Year at Middleton High School, was a First Team All-State selection following her junior season, while playing for her mom, Marianne. A 1,000-point scorer already at Middleton, Blackwell also received player of the year and all-conference honors in volleyball. Blackwell has been a multi-time Academic All-Conference honoree and was also a student council representative.

“Zoey comes from a great family and is a coach’s kid, which means she knows what it means to put the work in to be a winner,” said coach Ezell.

“Zoey has the basketball IQ that makes her hard to take off the court. She sees plays ahead of time on both ends of the court, which will be a huge asset to our systems. She is a natural leader and will come in with a work ethic that is second-to-none.”

Karly Davis | 5-7 | Guard | Buffalo, Wyoming | Buffalo HS
Buffalo High School’s all-time leading scorer, Davis, is a three-time Wyoming All-State selection and a three-time Absoraka Conference all-conference team honoree. Davis, who holds the single-game scoring mark at Buffalo and is also already the school’s all-time leader in career 3-pointers made, has helped lead Buffalo HS to two state runner-up finishes. Davis is a 1,000-point scorer as well.

“Karly and her family bleed the Brown and Gold and already know the Wyoming toughness that our program is built on,” said Ezell of Davis.

“I have no doubt Karly will be a crowd favorite with her work ethic, not to mention her ability to shoot the basketball. Karly is also a state champion in the rodeo arena, the Cowgirl runs deep in her, and she will show that on the court day in and day out.”

Taylor Donaldson | 6-0 | Guard | Albany, Oregon | South Albany HS
Donaldson is a two-time unanimous First Team All-State selection and was a second team honoree her freshman year. Her first three seasons at South Albany, Donaldson was also a unanimous First Team All-Mid-Willamette Valley Conference selection. Following her junior campaign, Donaldson was the unanimous selection for the conference player of the year and also broke the school record for career points. A two-time state tournament All-Tournament team selection, Donaldson helped lead South Albany to a third-place finish at state her sophomore year and second in her junior season. Donaldson, who has also been a highly-decorated volleyball student-athlete, has been a National Honor Society member and Scholar Athlete for multiple sports at SAHS.

“Taylor and her family are a great fit to our Cowgirl family,” said Ezell.

“She has been successful throughout her prep career and she will bring that champion mentality to campus next fall. Taylor brings a versatility to our team that we love. She can play multiple positions for us. Taylor has the ability to really stretch the floor with her 3-point shooting but has the strength and moves to score on the block.”
