
Cowgirls Open Colorado Cup Action
DENVER – The Wyoming Cowgirls began play in their final fall event of the season Friday as it took on Colorado on day one of the Colorado Cup, hosted by the University of Denver.

The doubles team of Serina Abriola and Ruby Young opened the day with a win for Wyoming. The duo won a tiebreaker match with CU, 7-6 (7-2). On the singles side of things, Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia earned the lone singles victory for the Cowgirls. Kochelaevskaia won in straight sets, 7-5 and 6-3. Young took her opponent to a third set in her matchup, but ultimately fell 6-7, 6-2 and 6-3.
Wyoming continues the Colorado Cup with more dual-style competition Saturday against the host Pioneers.
