Raffle Tickets Are $25 And Every One Goes To Help Sergeant Zach Burns

If you've ever had a family member who was or is a police officer, or if you work in the field, you know all the mixed emotions that come along with the career. Pride, fear, worry, nervousness, happiness, and the list goes on.

As a loved one of an officer, the last thing you ever want is to receive a phone call saying that the person you love has been involved in an incident while on duty. Last month, in Carbon County, that fear became a reality when Sergeant Zach Burns of the Carbon County Sheriff's Office was involved in a shooting while on duty.

When something like that happens, life changes and gets a little harder than usual, but in Sergeant Burns's case, an entire state is rallying around him and doing everything possible to help him and his family as he recovers.

Carbon County Sheriff Alex Bakken gave an update on Sergeant Burns' condition on social media.

We are excited to share that Zach's recovery is continuing to progress, and he has made incredible progress! He still has a long way to go, but Zach is a fighter, and he continues to improve daily. He is talking, mobile, and is walking with assistance from medical staff. He is spending regular time with his family and continues to make remarkable progress.
Several local businesses including Bartlett Oilfield, Fritz Welding and Machine, F&S Trucking, Brian Locke Trucking, Ready Livestock, Ready Oilfield Services, Wyoming Diesel Services and Elevated Health and Safety Solutions have graciously donated a 2023 CanAm Commander Side by Side to raffle off with all proceeds going to Zach.
