Kaycee, Wyoming’s Next Chapter Begins With The Outlaw Music Festival
In June of 2025, an event that had become a summertime tradition in Kaycee, Wyoming, decided it would be the last. Chris LeDoux Days, which was an event celebrating the life and career of rodeo and music legend Chris LeDoux. After 15 years, the family decided it was time to take a break.
For 15 years, Kaycee, Wyoming, became the place to be in the middle of June, and with LeDoux Days ending, the folks of the town decided they enjoyed the idea of keeping the momentum going and starting a new music festival.
As soon as 'The Last Go Round' finished, planning for the first Kaycee Outlaw Music Festival began, and pretty quickly, sponsors started jumping on board, Harold Jarrard Park was booked, vendor booths were filling up, and the bands were being booked. The tradition of live music during June in Kaycee will continue.
To date, four bands have been announced to perform at the first-ever Kaycee Outlaw Music Festival on June 20 & 21, 2026.
The bands that have already been confirmed:
- Jalan Crossland
- Southern Fryed
- The Two Tracks
- Low Water String Band
It's always exciting and quite nerve-racking to start a new event, but with the excitement, energy, and momentum created by 15 years of LeDoux Days and the response from sponsors, bands, and music lovers, it looks like a new tradition is building in Kaycee.
