Warning: Fascinating Dinosaurs Will Once Again Roam In Wyoming
Growing up I was never interested in dinosaurs, it wasn't something that we discussed and I didn't see one dinosaur movie as a kid. Actually it took many years after the first Jurassic Park movie hit theaters for me to see it, and the original is the only one I saw.
The concept of dinosaurs is wild. Large beasts roaming freely across the world...sheesh, that's freaky.
If you're in Wyoming, your knowledge of dinosaurs is probably pretty good. Dinosaur museums, dinosaur dig sites and dinosaur experiences are quite common.
This weekend the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper is turning into Jurassic World when the Jurassic Quest is taking over. If you grew up with the Jurassic Park movies, Land Before Time or even the squirrelly tv show on A.B.C. called Dinosaurs, this weekend is for you.
Honestly it's a little freaky to think these giant creatures once roamed around, what we now know as, Wyoming. Dinosaur fossils have been around for thousands of years and thanks to those that have dedicated their lives to finding out as much about the dinosaurs as possible, events like Jurassic Quest are possible.
Obviously because dinosaurs roamed millions of years ago, we weren't around. So, with the discovery of fossils, scientists have been able to put together what it was like in those times.
Can you imagine being out elk hunting and come face to face with a Tyrannosaurus or Velociraptor? Would we have Dino-Spray, like we have bear spray? Would we have Dino-Rodeos? The possibilities are endless.
