Get Ready For An Eye-opening Look At Wildlife Management
Wyoming Game and Fish Department's mission is simple: "Conserving wildlife and serving people."
I've been working closely with WGFD for years to highlight the department's work. The hours the men and women work are incredible, and the job is still never finished. There are very few days during the year when an employee of Game and Fish isn't working. There is always data to collect, wildlife to manage, and the public to serve.
I haven't met, interviewed, or talked with any WGFD employee who isn't passionate about their job. For most of them, this isn't a job they stumbled into; it's something they dedicated their lives to. Combining their love of the outdoors, wildlife, hunting, and fishing with their desire to help impact, improve, and secure Wyoming's future, it's impressive to hear their stories.
On January 19, proof of that passion, hard work, and dedication will be highlighted as the Wyoming Game and Fish Department is excited to announce its involvement with the upcoming film, Carrying Capacity: The Hunt For Resilience. The film will explore the struggles that come along with managing Wyoming bighorn sheep herds.
CARRYING CAPACITY highlights the collaboration between scientists, wildlife managers and hunters who all play a role in the state's big horn sheep population.
The film will premiere on the WGFD YouTube channel on Monday, the 19th, and you can subscribe to the channel and set a reminder to watch.
Mark your calendars for Monday, January 19, when Carrying Capacity: The Hunt For Resilience will premiere. You can see the trailer for the film and get a taste of what's in store below.
