The Laramie Plainsmen football team has their home opener tonight when they take on No. 2 Sheridan at Deti Stadium.

The kick-off is at 6 p.m.

LHS is off to a 0-2 start after road losses at No. 4 Natrona County and Campbell County. They’ll be looking to turn things around against the two-time defending champs.

Sheridan is 2-0 after victories over Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne South.

KOWB’s David Settle spoke to seniors Levi Crane and Dakota Ledford before practice on Thursday to preview this game and chat about how things are going. That’s in the video at the top of this post.

The Plainsmen are averaging only 59 yards per game and haven’t scored this season. They allow 370 yards and 37 points per game. The Broncs are putting up 337 yards and 47.5 points per game. They have the No. 1 defense in Class 4A that gives up only 150 yards and five points per game.

Laramie has not beaten Sheridan on the football field since 2005. The Broncs have won 19 in a row in the series.

The game starts at 6 p.m. KOWB Radio will have live coverage starting at 5 p.m. Join David Settle and Aaron Lozano for the broadcast call.
