Billy Ray Cyrus + Wife Firerose Are Getting a Divorce
Singer Billy Ray Cyrus has filed for divorce from wife Firerose after less than nine months of marriage.
The couple were last spotted together on social media in late April, but he is said to have filed for divorce one month later.
- Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose married on Oct. 10, 2023, during a ceremony described as "the most perfect ethereal celebration of love."
- She was his third wife, after Cindy Smith and Tish Cyrus, whom he divorced in 2022.
- The couple have no kids together.
- Cyrus cites irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as reasons for his filing.
- His team confirmed the news to Taste of Country.
TMZ broke the news and noted that both parties have un-followed each other on Instagram. There are many photo memories still active on both pages, however, including one taken during a pontoon ride in April.
The country singer's Instagram page is loaded with photo memories of his wife. However, during the last month he's been more career focused, sharing memories of CMA Fest and details about a new album he's working on.
"Gone the album Fall '24," he shared on June 6 with a clip of a new song. That's his third shared clip in three weeks. "You Came Along" has been properly released to digital streaming platforms.
Cyrus and his wife Tish were married from 1993 to 2022 and had three kids together: Miley, Braison and Noah. Additionally, he adopted her two kids from a previous marriage, Brandi and Trace.
The "Achy Breaky Heart" hitmaker also fathered a son named Christopher with a woman he dated before meeting Tish. When their divorce was announced, both said they "decided to go our separate ways — not with sadness, but with love in our hearts."
Tish Cyrus married actor Dominic Purcell in 2023.
