
Kurt Busch Shares Childhood Memories in First Post Since Brother Kyle’s Death
Kurt Busch focused on happy childhood memories as he shared his first social media post since the death of his younger brother, fellow NASCAR driver Kyle Busch.
"Finding a silver lining, I reflect back on the days Kyle and I raced anything we could get our hands on," he wrote in an emotional tribute. "From big wheels to competing on the biggest stages in motorsports, we were more than just fierce competitors."
"We pushed each other, challenged each other and learned from each other," Kurt added.

Kurt shared several photos of himself and his late brother together, including a childhood shot of them driving a kid-sized racing vehicle with Kyle sitting in Kurt's lap.
More recent shots show them on bigger stages, driving in NASCAR's premiere series races and holding up trophies together.
"Kyle, your passion, determination and love for your family inspired everyone who knew you," Kurt continued. "No trophy, championship or accomplishment could ever measure the impact you had on my life and on so many others."
"I will forever be grateful for the memories we made, the lessons you taught me, and the brotherhood we shared," he added. "My heart is broken but I know your spirit will always ride with me."
How Did Kyle Busch Die?
Kyle Busch died on May 21 after a short hospitalization. He was 41 years old.
His cause of death was later revealed to be pneumonia that progressed into sepsis. Busch was testing a Chevrolet racing simulator in Concord, N.C., when he became very ill and was transported to a nearby hospital.

911 audio released by TMZ shows that an unnamed male caller told the dispatcher that the driver was "very hot," experiencing shortness of breath and feeling like he was going to pass out. It also revealed that he was coughing up blood.

Last week, Samantha Busch shared a social media post expressing gratitude for all the fan support following Kyle Busch's death.
"The love that has surrounded our family during this unimaginable time has brought comfort in the middle of so much pain," she wrote, alongside a family photo of the couple with their two children.

"Knowing the impact Kyle had on others and seeing how they are honoring him through each unique act of generosity is a true testament to how special Kyle is to so many people," Samantha continued.
"There are moments when the weight of this loss feels impossible to carry, yet time and again God, through you all, has shown us we are not alone."
Three days after his death, Kyle Busch was honored during pre-race ceremonies at the NASCAR Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 24. The Busch family was present, with Samantha wrapping her arm around their son Brexton as her late husband was honored.
Kurt Busch was there too, and laid white roses on the number "8" — Kyle's racing number — stenciled on the infield grass.
