The State Cross Country meet was held on Saturday at Little America in Cheyenne, which had pleasant conditions for distance running. In 2A girls, Big Horn freshman Lyla Marney dominated the field with a time of 19:45.28. Not many runners in 2A could stay with her this season and she took off right from the start and never looked back.

Dai'Onna Posey from Wyoming Indian was second in 21:4047, and she placed fourth at last year's State Meet. Big Horn's Teagan Butler was third with a clocking of 22:43.89, with Laken Walker of Tongue River fourth. She hit the finish line in 23:00.85 and took 10th at last year's championships. Her teammate Addie Perkins was fifth.

Tongue River won the 2A Girls' team championship with a true team effort, with two runners in the top five and three in the top 11. The Eagles had 32 points, and Big Horn did, too, but TR had a fifth runner, and BH did not for the tiebreaking scenario. Wyoming Indian was third with 37.
