Boys Winners

Wisniewski and McClure enjoyed some standout performances at last Saturday’s 52nd annual Wyoming Shrine Bowl all-star football game. The North defeated the South, 34-28. Wisniewski anchored the North defense. He made several tackles, including one for a loss, and blocked a kick. Keona was named the Defensive MVP of the game.

WyoPreps visited with Wisniewski about his game last weekend. He said it was an honor to earn the MVP, credited the whole defense, discussed his experience, and more.

McClure led the South’s comeback attempt. He threw three TD passes, as the South rallied from a 20-point deficit in the second half. All three of Smith’s touchdown passes went to Laramie’s Max Alexander from 25, 51, and 14 yards out. That effort earned McClure the Offensive MVP honor.

WyoPreps caught up with Smith to discuss his play. He was also humbled to earn the MVP award. He said he tried to make the plays that were there, addressed the comeback, the atmosphere on the bench, his experience, and more.

Congratulations to Elyn, Keona, and Smith on being selected as the WyoPreps Athletes of the Week!
