Welcome to Week 17 of the Legion Baseball season in Wyoming. There are two doubleheaders left in the 2025 regular season. One is on Monday, and the second is on Wednesday. Then, teams will focus on the two state tournaments. The Single-A state championships are in Sheridan, and the Double-A state tourney is in Cheyenne. Those two scoreboards are in separate stories at WyoPreps.

MONDAY, JULY 21:

Final Score: Gillette Riders 11 Cody Cubs 1 - Leading 4-1, the Riders put the game away with 7 runs in the 5th inning. Loftus had 2 hits & 2 RBIs, and Partlow added 1 hit & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: Gillette Riders 14 Cody Cubs 4 - Gillette held a 7-4 lead and pulled away with 7 more runs in the 5th & 6th innings. Partlow had 4 hits, including a double, & 5 RBIs. Hawk added 3 hits & drove in 1 run, while Smith contributed 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 23:

Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 5 Billings (MT) Upper Deck Expos 2 - Sheridan took the lead with 3 runs in the 2nd inning. Araas had 1 hit & 1 RBI. Lamb tossed 5 shutout innings for the win.

Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 5 Billings UD Expos 0 - Three pitchers combined on a 4-hit shutout for Sheridan. They scored all 5 runs over the first 3 innings. Hamrick & Barney had 1 double & 1 RBI apiece.
