2026 Class 1A and 2A Wyoming Boys Basketball Regional Tournaments
Wyoming High School boys’ basketball teams in Class 1A and 2A enter the postseason with regional tournament action this weekend. Here is the schedule for the 2026 regionals on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Riverton, Pine Bluffs, Lander, and Torrington are the sites of these big games. The top four teams from each region advance to the state tournament in Casper from March 5 through March 7, 2026. All of these eight-team brackets are double-elimination.
WYOPREPS 1A-2A BOYS BASKETBALL REGIONAL TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
2A WEST REGIONAL – Riverton (Riverton HS & Riverton MS)
Rocky Mountain won the NW No. 2 seed on a head-to-head point differential tiebreaker. The Grizzlies won by 7 points over Shoshoni, while the Wranglers won by only 3 points over Rocky Mountain. Thus, RM earned the higher seed.

Final Score: Big Piney 60 Wind River 49 - Cougars are eliminated
Final Score: Greybull 51 Kemmerer 42 - Rangers are eliminated
Final Score: Thermopolis 47 Shoshoni 37 - semifinal - Bobcats qualify for state
Final Score: Wyoming Indian 61 Rocky Mountain 47 - semifinal - Chiefs qualify for state
SATURDAY, FEB. 28:
Final Score: Rocky Mountain 43 Big Piney 32 - Punchers are eliminated; Grizzlies qualify for state
Final Score: Shoshoni 46 Greybull 41 - Buffs are eliminated; Wranglers qualify for state
Final Score: Shoshoni 53 Rocky Mountain 38 – 3rd Place Game - Wranglers' win put them at the 3-seed and the Grizzlies will be the 4.
Final Score: Thermopolis 62 Wyoming Indian 59 – Championship Game - Bobcats will be the 1-seed and the Chiefs take the 2.
2A EAST REGIONAL – Pine Bluffs (High School)
THURSDAY, FEB. 26:

Final Score: (4) Sundance 57 (5) Moorcroft 39
FRIDAY, FEB. 27:
Final Score: (2) Pine Bluffs 62 (3) Wright 46 - semifinal - Hornets qualify for state
Final Score: (1) Big Horn 54 (4) Sundance 41 - semifinal - Rams qualify for state
SATURDAY, FEB. 28:
Final Score: Wright 63 Moorcroft 41 - Wolves are eliminated; Panthers qualify for state
Final Score: Sundance 44 Tongue River 28 - Ealges are eliminated; Bulldogs qualify for state
Final Score: Wright 60 Sundance 43 – 3rd Place Game - Panthers get the 3-seed, and Bulldogs will be th 4.
Final Score: Pine Bluffs 52 Big Horn 42 – Championship Game - Hornets are the 1-seed for state next week, Rams will be the 2.
