Chase Talich rose to the occasion in his senior season in basketball at Cheyenne Central and that effort turned into an opportunity to play for Gillette College in 2024-25. Talich was a big factor in Central's run to the 4A State Championship in 2023-24 and was phenomenal in the State Tournament. He poured in 18 points in the championship game vs. Laramie, 13 in the semi-finals vs. Natrona, and a whopping 27 points on 11-15 shooting in the first round vs. Riverton.

For the season, he averaged 13 points per game and rang the 3-bell 40 times, shooting 32% from beyond the arc and an excellent 56% from the floor from 2. At 6-2, Talich was a force in the paint as he led the Tribe in blocks. Needless to say, he made a big step forward after playing in just 6 games as a junior.

Talich also played football for Central and was 4th in all-purpose yardage. Gillette College went 27-5 this past season in basketball after a 2-year absence from the Region IX junior college ranks
