Home Teams Rule the First Round as Lander, Greybull, and Others Snap Football Playoff Droughts

Wyoming prep football teams in the quarterfinals of the playoffs added to their records last Friday. A few higher-seeded teams won on the road, but home teams were 16-4 in the first round. Lander won its first playoff game since 2004. Greybull picked up a postseason victory for the first time in nine years, and Thermopolis and Hulett both won a playoff game for the first time since 2019. The only playoff game that went to overtime was in Casper, where Cheyenne Central edged Natrona County on a blocked PAT kick. The win streaks for Sheridan and Star Valley continued, at 53 and 31 in a row, respectively. The updated standings include all games played through October 31, 2025.

The number of undefeated teams stayed at seven. They all advanced to the semifinals. Five schools went winless during the 2025 season.
