Wyoming High School Golf Scoreboard: Sept. 11-14, 2024
State qualifiers, conference championships, and final tune-ups are part of Week 5 of the fall high school golf season in Wyoming. Events are in Cheyenne, Casper, Buffalo, and Cody for the top two classes over two days. For Class 4A schools, teams and individuals try to advance to next week’s state championships in Afton. Class 3A teams compete in conference events as their last rounds before the state championship in Rawlins next week. Finally, most Class 2A teams compete in Lusk over two days, but Kemmerer and Thermopolis will square off in a dual at a neutral course in Lander.

Wednesday, Sept. 11:
4A East State Qualifier – at Airport G.C., at 10 a.m. – Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Laramie, Sheridan, Thunder Basin.
Gabby Given of Campbell County has a 2-shot lead in the girls' field. Daniel Meyer from Cheyenne East leads the boys' field by 2 shots. The Campbell County girls and Cheyenne East boys lead by 3 shots in the team races.
Thursday, Sept. 12:
4A East State Qualifier – at Airport G.C., at 10 a.m. – Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Laramie, Sheridan, Thunder Basin.
Shelbi Gardner came back to win the girls' division by 5 shots after a final round 77. Nash Coleman won the boys' division by 2 shots after a final round 71. The Sheridan girls and Campbell County boys won the team crowns.
4A West State Qualifier – at Three Crowns G.C., at 9 a.m. – Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, Riverton, Rock Springs, Star Valley.
Khloe Romo of Kelly Walsh has a 1-shot lead after the first round in the girls' field. Ryker Lind of Evanston leads the boys' field by 2 shots. The Evanston girls and Kelly Walsh boys lead the team standings.
3A East Conference Championships – at Buffalo G.C., at noon – Buffalo, Douglas, Glenrock, Newcastle, Rawlins, Torrington, Wheatland.
Maddie Brace of Douglas and Tate Nichols of Wheatland had the clubhouse lead after the first round. The Douglas girls and Wheatland boys lead the team standings.
3A West Conference Championships – at Olive Glenn G.C., at noon – Cody, Lander, Lovell, Lyman, Pinedale, Powell, Worland.
Keigann Watson of Lander had a 4-shot lead after the first round in the girls' field. Hunter Kihn and Craig Hansen of Lander shared the lead at 76 in the boys' field. Lander leads both team standings after Day 1.
Friday, Sept. 13:
4A West State Qualifier – at Three Crowns G.C., at 9 a.m. – Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, Riverton, Rock Springs, Star Valley.
Khloe Romo of Kelly Walsh took the girls' title by 6 shots. Kelly Walsh and Evanston tied in the team standings, but Kelly Walsh prevailed in a 2-hole playoff for the team title. Ryker Lind of Evanston won the boys' division by 6 shots. The Kelly Walsh boys rolled to the team crown.
3A East Conference Championships – at Buffalo G.C., at 9 a.m. – Buffalo, Douglas, Glenrock, Newcastle, Rawlins, Torrington, Wheatland.
Maddie Brace of Douglas and Tate Nichols of Wheatland were the two medalists. Brace by 4 shots, and Nichols by 17 shots. The Douglas girls and Wheatland boys won the team titles.
3A West Conference Championships – at Olive Glenn G.C., at 10 a.m. – Cody, Lander, Lovell, Lyman, Pinedale, Powell, Worland.
Keigann Watson won the conference title in a playoff. Jermaine Broussard of Worland was the boys' medalist and also won in a playoff. Cody won the girls' team title by 3 shots. Lander grabbed the boys' team championship.
Kemmerer vs. Thermopolis Dual – at Lander G.C., at 1 p.m.
Lilly Johnson and Hayden Overfield took first in the dual standings. Thermopolis won both team titles, as well.
Tiger Invitational – at Niobrara C.C., at 11:30 a.m. – Hulett, Lusk, Moorcroft, Sundance, Tongue River, Upton, Wright.
Savanah Peterson and Logan Timberman have the clubhouse lead after the 1st round. The Wright boys and Sundance girls enjoy the team lead.
Saturday, Sept. 14:
Tiger Invitational – at Niobrara C.C., at 9 a.m. – Hulett, Lusk, Moorcroft, Sundance, Tongue River, Upton, Wright.
Savanah Peterson of Sundance won the girls' division by 49 shots. Logan Timberman of Upton captured the boys' division by 6 shots. The Sundance girls and Wright boys were the team champs.
