Jake Hammer enjoyed a sensational high school wrestling career in Pinedale and will be taking his skills to the powerful Western Wyoming junior college program in Rock Springs. Hammer won the 3A 138-pound State Championship in his senior year with a victory over his teammate Fisher Vance. Hammer recorded 4 pins at the State Tournament and finished the year with a record of 49-2.

Hammer won his first State Championship in his junior season in 3A at 132 pounds with a 6-4 win over Green River's Conner Todd. He was 43-4 for the year and had recorded 3 falls at the State Tourney. He made the finals of the 3A 126-pound bracket as a sophomore losing to Lyman's Sefton Douglass. Hammer had 41 wins and 12 losses in the 2021-22 campaign.

Hammer started his great run at the prep level with a 4th place finish at the 2021 3A State Tournament at 113 pounds. He was 42-5 and there are not too many guys who posted 40 wins over more in 4 consecutive seasons.

Western Wyoming is the 2-time National Champions at the NJCAA level which is an amazing accomplishment considering the talent level at the division.
