PhotoFest! Moorcroft Topples Glenrock in 2A Football

In a battle of schools in the 2A ranks that want to turn their fortunes around, Moorcroft shut down Glenrock on Friday 20-6. Moorcroft was 2-6 a year ago and Glenrock was 0-8 so there's plenty of room for growth.

Both teams found the end zone in the first quarter as Glenrock quarterback Brady Dona found Casey Sarvey for 44 yards and a touchdown to put the Herders in front 6-0. Moorcroft would answer with a TD pass from Hayden Amende so the Wolves led for good at 7-6

Moorcroft got into the end zone in the 3rd quarter on a 5-yard run from Braydnn Terry and Terry also rumbled in for a score in the 4th quarter on a 43-yard run. He is the defending 2A State Champion wrestler at 132 pounds. The Wolves also have 2 guys on the football team who placed 3rd at the State 2A Wrestling Tournament in Trenten Gray and Oliver Gorsuch. Glenrock has a 2A State wrestling champion on their football team and that's Brady Allen who won it all at 113 pounds.

Moorcroft is 1-1 after losing to Kemmerer 50-6 to open the season while Glenrock is 0-3 with a pair of losses prior to Friday's game against Jackson and Holyoke, Colorado. The Wolves will travel to Ranchester this week to play Tongue River while Glenrock will be at home to host Burns.
