PhotoFest: Rock Springs Drills Cheyenne South in 4A Football
Rock Springs pretty much punched their ticket to the 4A football playoffs with a 50-3 win over Cheyenne South last Friday to get to 2-5 on the year. Heading into this week's action, the Tigers and Kelly Walsh are tied for the 7th and 8th place slots in 4A so it's just a matter of seeding from here on out.
Rock Springs did break a 5 game losing streak with that win over South and Tiger quarterback Michael Faigl has been averaging 143 yards per game. Rock Springs has dealt with other team issues this year but they have hung right in there. They'll be on the road at winless Laramie on Friday.
South is 0-7 and barring a miracle will miss the 4A playoffs this season. It's been a rough go for the Bison who has given up 60 or more points in two games this season and 50 or more 3 times. They'll have their hands full this week with Cheyenne East.
