Photofest: Pine Bluffs Defeats Southeast in 1A-9 Man Football

There's a group of some pretty talented 1A 9-man football teams in the southeast part of the state and two of them met head-on on Friday as Pine Bluffs took on the Cyclones of Southeast. Pine Bluffs put on an impressive performance with a 35-14 win to get to 7-1 on the year. Southeast drops to 5-3.

Pine Bluffs came out the gate quickly with a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter. The first one was from Carsten Freeburg who reeled off a 53-yard run to the end zone and he added a 6-yard scoring run to give the Hornets a 14-0 lead

The 2nd quarter was all Pine Bluffs thanks to Jesus Solis who had touchdown runs of 3, 2, and 69 yards. It was a 35-0 game at halftime and never looked back. Southeast picked up a couple of 4th quarter scores thanks to Carter Blevins who had two touchdowns from the doorstep.

Pine Bluffs is the #2 seed from the East in the 9-Man playoffs and will host Greybull on Friday afternoon. Southeast is the #3 seed and they have a long road trip to Big Piney on Saturday for their quarterfinal playoff game.
