Southeast Defeats Wright in 9-Man Football to Start 2-0
The Southeast Cyclones will be right in the mix in 1A 9-Man football as they made 2 for 2 on the season with a 38-13 win over Wright last week. Southeast has made the postseason in 8 of the last 9 years so they know how to win and the Cyclones began the season with a 30-8 victory over Big Piney so they have been sharp on both sides of the ball.
Southeast has a returning quarterback in Ayden Desmond, a defensive stalwart in T.J. Moats, and good all-round athletes like Carter Blevins and Kannon Tippetts among others. Wright is 1-2 on the year after a week zero loss to Shoshoni 14-6 and a 34-8 win over Greybull. The Panthers have some pretty good athletes too like Jaxson Neely and the Strohschein boys, Layne and Mitchell.
Wright will host a good Pine Bluffs team this week and Southeast will be on the road at Wind River in Pavillion. Be sure and check out a sharp collection of photos of the SE-Wright game, courtesy of Jamie Tippetts. They can be found in our gallery below. Enjoy!
